Re: I Pimped My SE5a...........

I have a theory: if you look at the prepros of the first wave of models the hubs are unpainted. If you look at the prepros of the second wave, the hubs are painted.

Maybe someone at Corgi thought it a no brainer that the production models would have a painted hub and didn't communicate clearly to the factory that the hub should be painted... so the factory received a first wave prepro with an unpainted hub, and did the same on the production models. Perhaps when Corgi caught the mistake, it was too late to correct the first two SE5a models. However, Corgi made certain there would be no question in the future so it painted the hubs on the second pre-pros. I am willing to bet, that all models released now will have painted hubs. Then again, I may be wacko in this theory.

By the way, thanks for the pics and the "pimping" tips, Louie. Great job!

Re: I Pimped My SE5a...........

I just tried, but my auto-focus still makes the tight shots blurry and then my batteries died. I will try to post tomorrow using my other camera. Sorry buddy, I would want to see them too...

Louie check to see if your camera has a Macro setting. If so us it on the close in tight shots, that's what its for. I use it all the time when I take shots for the forum, you will notice a big difference in clarity.

Great job by the way. I think I will give a few of your ideas a try on my model.
