I think it would be great except for one thing. Given there is NO place to extend the model, we may end up paying $500 (+/-) per unit (OUCH!)

And while we're at it, how 'bout the classic Avro Arrow?? I'd so love a nicely detailed one in either 1:72 or 1:144. They could release all the different variants (Hey Kids! Collect them ALL!) to offset the costs.I'd sure buy 'em.

I could go for one. But, with only one real livery, any production would be limited and quite a bit more expensive than regular models. If any "niche" type diecast companies ever spring up, this would be a perfect model for them to do. Unfortunately, I just don't see any of the other established companies doing it...

Very nice, BUT............ (beyond a shadow of a doubt)...............

The single-colour-scheme choice (nuclear "Anti-Flash" White) would kill it - stone dead

Sadly, it's a "non-starter"

We only built 6 Arrows, where would the variants come from?

6 Avro Arrows would be good.. I don't know about you guys, but 3-4 acft of one type (Mostly 1 if the thing is REALLY expensive) is what I usually collect myself..

Re: Hey Corgi.. How 'bout this one..

The problem with the TSR would be, as has been stated above, limited liveries. The same reason why we still haven't had a SR-71 and probably never will.

Sadly that ONE very reason will exclude a multitude of other interesting a/c too.

Shame.

Re: Hey Corgi.. How 'bout this one..

Hornchurch,
Hey there.

Yeah, absolutely correct. I guess the American equivalent of the TSR would be the XB70 Valkyrie. That would be a plane that I would pay almost anything for a nice model of. Unfortunately, they only made a couple of them.
