| Corgi P-38 Canopies accurate? I just got the Pudgy IV and Eze Does it and noticed the canopies are different. Does anyone know if the Pudgy IV is anywhere near correct? I know the Eze Does It looks incorrect being literally straight and all. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Corgi P-38 Canopies accurate? ADW, I'm not sure what you mean by "not accurate." I have Cal Cutie and Scat II and think they are some of the best aircraft of my collection. The canopies look like P-38 canopies. The bracing is a little bit heavy but it still is OK in my book. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Corgi P-38 Canopies accurate? If you compare Eze Does it and Pudgy IV or even cal cutie, the front windhield looks very different. Eze Does It is literally straight but the other 2 arc | |||||||||||||

| Re: Corgi P-38 Canopies accurate? Is the difference due to Eze being a recon and the other being fighters? | |||||||||||||

| Re: Corgi P-38 Canopies accurate? The front windshield of 'Eze Does It' on Corgi has the early 'straight' frame version, while the "California Cutie" has the stylized 'inverted U' shaped frame. Corgi is guilty of doing this even with their F-86 variants (study all of it at Tri and you'll see what I mean). I'm not sure if the particular version of the windshield used is correct for Eze, all "Droopsnoot" P-38s were the result of field upgrade/mods from existing early straight framed models of the Lightning according to the sources I read it from. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Corgi P-38 Canopies accurate? Thanks for the info guys. I'm guessing the colours of the turbochargers being different is Corgi doing whatever it wants... | |||||||||||||
