Free Halifax Deal?

Just wondering if anyone's heard any news lately regarding the free Halifax since the deadline to redeem the blue tokens has officially passed? Were they not supposed to be shipping right away?

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

I just called Corgi (312-302-9940) and left a message regarding the silver Halifaxs. When I called back around Thanksgiving. Matthew said he hasn't heard anything on the release date. I am waiting for mine too. Hope it will be soon!

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

It was posted on the UK forum that the "feebie" Halifax was delayed because Corgi had so much negative feedback regarding the polished silver that they were going ahead and producing a "special" paint scheme Halifax..

I guess we shall see......

Well, the way I heard it was -- that Corgi was looking to add some 'usable value' to the Token 'freebie' and were considering THIS instead. Contractor for 1,500 pieces still being sought, last I heard.

That sounds alot better for sure. I wasn't interested at all in that all-silver version.

Looks like one of those that you can buy in the isle at the mall at "Things Remembered". Guess with all that downsizing at Corgi, it would come to this. A vendor booth at the strip mall selling trinkets, right next to the "5 for $10 teeshirts" that a fat chick from India with 3 teeth is selling in her spandex and tank top.

Shoot, slap a limited run certificate in the box and collectors will go wild!

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

i've never been to knowledgeable about the value of the blue tokens. what are they worth? what can you get for them? when?

can someone please keep me up to speed, please!

now that i think of it, it's pretty silly that i don't know since i have purchased tons of corgi stuff.

maybe if corgi actually processed "Aviation Collectors Club" applications (i've tried 3 times) i would be more familiar.

any help is appreciated! thanks!
