Re: Free Halifax Deal?

If it is a mistake, it is repeated on both the box and the outer sleeve several times also.

From your description sounds like it must be correct then. Congratulations on being one of the few to get in under the cutoff.

Nose of aircraft looks different than I thought it would. Thought it was going to have turret up front.

Ya Cruver, that certainly was the impression from the photo that was in circulation, and I would have expected something more common like a standard BII or BIII. It's been suggested this is an overrun of the Elaborate Halifax that was reduced to 700 models, which sounds quite plausable to me.

You might just have the anwer on the model type, but still curious why it was listed as 500 run, but one of the members who received some shows only 150 in the run. The plot thickens.

Just got off the phone with a Customer Service Rep at Corgi USA. I asked about the differences in the listed numbers and he stated, with some uncertainty, that the confusion could be due to different Halifax offers in the US and UK as well as the actual models being different themselves .

I also asked that he again confirm Corgi USA received my tokens. He punched up my name in his computer and told me they were on record and I would indeed be receiving a Special Edition Halifax. I don't think you guys (at least in the US) should give up hope because I was pretty late to the game in sending out my tokens (around Oct./Nov) but then again I won't know for sure until it's at my doorstep!

This same rep also has helped me in securing missing/broken parts and seems competent enough that I believe him (I'm a fairly skeptical person by nature). Just remember "don't kill the messenger" if you happen not to get your Halifax!

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

Starting to sound a little bit more up beat. Sounds like at least three forum members are happy campers.

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

Hmmm.... seperate US/UK issue numbers/volume...? different models...? I have doubts given the record of (non)communication between the two entities. I got confirmation that I'm on the list from Matthew too, so it will be interesting to see what shows up on my doorstep.
