Re: Free Halifax Deal?

That does not sound very promising ( Spelled everything right this time).

My wife's uncle is an attorney and he mainly handles corporate matters. Maybe I should ask him if we have any options?

Couldn't hurt to see what he has to say.

That would be worth a try.

Angry Re: Free Halifax Deal?

Hello Fellow Collector's

I feel that we all have been cheated by Corgi and we will actually rcv nothing from them. We have all spent small fortunes trying to collect those tokens needed for the Halifax. I have been in contact for that last few month's will Matthew Harrell from Corgi USA who assured me that ths Halifax's where indeed coming at to be a bit more patient . Well now you cant even get a hold of him by phone or e-mail. I have attached 2 letters that I have sent to a person at Cogi UK that I know to see if she has any information for us. These are my own feelings expressed in these letters below.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++

Hello Helena.

Below is a copy of a letter that I sent to Corgi USA over a month ago and have still not gotten any response from them as of yet. Could you please tell me have they closed up shop here in North America ?? is Corgi leaving there North American customers out in the cold ?? Myself and others have spent lots on money on Corgi products just to get these token for the free Halifax and I even rcvd a letter from Matthew Harrell telling me that YES I was on the list and would be recieving one on these free Halifax's. I also have attached that letter for you to read. Could you please let me know if you have any idea what is going on with this situation. As stated in my letter to Corgi USA I will not be buying any more Corgi diecast till this is resolved. There are plenty of other companies out there selling diecast that also want my bussiness. At the moment I'm very upset with the way that Corgi and handled this, I feel that we collectors in North America have been DUPED / TAKEN FOR A RIDE.

Best Regards

Keith Stone.

FIRST LETTER: Dated May 9/08

Hello,
Could you PLEASE tell me what has ever happened to the free Halifax deal offered by Corgi.Myself and others have sent in our tokens along time ago , rcvd an e-mail confirming that Corgi had rcvd them , but still no HALIFAX YET.Is Corgi going to fullfill it\'s deal or were we all taken for a ride.I for one will not be purchasing any new Corgi models till I rcv my free Halifax.I spent a small fortune collecting the models to get those tokens, and if Corgi fails to come through I will be taking my bussiness to other brands. We all know that it\'s a buyer\'s market and that there is lots of brands wanting every body\'s dollars.at this moment 85% of my 125 plane collection is Corgi, but if Corgi fails to come through that will change.Could you please respond as to what is happening with this situation.

Very Frustrated !!!!!!!!

SECOND LETTER : Dated Feb. 14/08

Keith,

Yes you are slated to receive a Special Edition Halifax, we have received your tokens and you’re good to go. We ourselves are waiting on the shipment of Halifaxes and as soon as we get them we will be passing them on to you.

Thanks,

Matthew Harrell

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

AVRO ARROW, you definitely have all your ducks in a row. Cannot see how they can not honor your claim, especially with your documentation. Best of luck in your efforts.

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

A few of us forum members have banded together in a concerted effort to get this issue resolved with Corgi.

Along those lines, it may be useful to know how many collectors bought enough models to collect 6 tokens or more and submitted them and how many received some form of confirmation (letter or e-mail) that the tokens had been received and how many received confirmation (e-mail or letter) that they had qualified and how many received confirmation (e-mail or letter) that the model would be shipped when it arrived.

Perhaps someone who knows how could set up a poll to track the numbers. If so, I would encourage everyone to respond to the poll even if you do not otherwise post on the forum. It is not scientific, of course, and is merely informational but I would sure like to know how many actually got responses.

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

I have already sent my tokens in and got a reply 6 8.82%
I have sent my tokens in but not heard a thing 3 4.41%
I have not sent my tokens in, but I plan to 27 39.71%
I don't plan on defacing my box for a "freebie" 10 14.71%
Tokens??? what tokens?? 22 32.35%

This is the latest count of one of the polls that was made a few months back.
Be a goodtime for a updated new poll i think.
