I never liked it from the start and when (and if) I receive mine, I will sell it as well. A all-silver version does nothing for me except want to sell it more.

CE, MikeB and JP, in my case it is the principle that's involved more than anything else. I take it as an affront to me and other collectors who have supported the company with several thousands of dollars in purchases over the course of many years. The inept handling of the promotion is only superseded by the near total lack of customer service or response from Corgi, and now Hornby. It is almost demonstrating a contempt of all those collectors in North America with what they have done to us. And I would almost go beyond the "tokens" promotion by adding such Corgi USA atrocities as a "Collectors Club" that did and provided NOTHING to its members, UK members got nice models for their membership while we got a 1:144 screaming chicken F-4 (Bicentennial) or that stupid car! Not to mention UK exclusive models to kill for while here - ho hum.

Corgi USA had a lot to answer for. The tokens promotion was the last straw for me anyway. Perhaps others feel the same. Now Horby, based solely upon my experience thus far, appears to be using the Corgi USA playbook on customer relations. Not a good sign at all.
