Just curious if anyone could post some images fo the Halifax.

It seems that only the Brits have received them so far.

I have not seen anything posted picture wise on the UK site either, kind of odd.

I believe Scott is the one who posted the rather superb pictures on the UK site

All credit to him for putting them out !

Personally, I think it looks GREAT - but that opinion don't seem to be shared, on there (generally) !!!!!!!

It's obviously the Desert-Halifax with no-paint !¬!!!!!!!

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

Oh man...unfortunately I am not excited about this all-silver bird. I will be ebaying or trading mine for sure. The only thing I like about it is that it is a 1/72 scale. I would of loved a painted version instead.

Mike - IF it comes your way, P.M. me & I'll buy it !!!!!

I like it that much, & I never bothered with the (silly) tokens (as I've related to, in my post at the top of this page !)

Personally, I LOVE the converted 'Z' nose on the Merlin-Halifaxes - looks great ('Horses for Courses', of course)

BTW, Mike LOVE your new 'Avatar' = way funny !!!!!!!!!

p.s. if YOU think U.S. 'gas'-prices are cheap = try here, in England !!!!!!!!!!

It's over £ 1 per-Litre !!!!!!!!!!

Hornchurch, I will do that as I will be actually getting 2 of the halifaxs so we could work out something. As for gas, yes it is going up big time. A British Quid is worth about $2 US. It sucks and with Iraq being the 2nd highest oil producer in the world too and we are at war with the "terrorists" there, we should be getting it for free to pay war debts and money going for the families of the military dead...so go figure. That is why I bought a Honda Civic Hybrid back in May 2005. I love my 47 mpg. More money to be spent for diecasts instead the gas & oil companies.

Cheers Mike - re; top part, about the 'silver' Halifax; I'm definately up for that !

Re; 2nd part YOU ARE RIGHT TO SAY THOSE BITS = I'M 100% IN AGREEMENT !!!!!!!

Our collective Armed-Forces deserve that !!!!!!!!!

Your Honda Civic (economy-wise) is the way to go........

I'm still driving around in a big German (Cologne) built V.6 Ford (I'll attach a pic'....)

That guzzles 'gas', but I love the car & it's comfort & sheer reliability

I've also got an Opel/Vauxhall Omega 2.0 which is FAR BETTER in terms of m.p.g. (but I prefer the V.6 Ford)

World economics are dictating that bigger-engined cars are (sadly) going out of fashion

Makes ya wonder how long our Die-cast planes will be 'affordable', before Oil & Zinc prices go thru the roof ?

Re: Free Halifax Deal?

Nothing has happened yet in the U.S. with the free bird. They are still on their way (Presumably?) from China to the U.S. distributor. I think I read a post somewhere on the forum that said their ETA was end of March, but don't hold me to that.

I thought it was the end of February, but who knows??
I will get mine and maybe repaint it, or paint half and leave the other half silver...

Very nice car mate. A V.6 would be a thirsty car I am sure.
What are those silver halifaxs going for over in the UK? I haven't even seen one or heard of someone getting one in the mail. Not over across the pond anyway. Bet this one will go with Skunky's all-gold P-51 he loves! Keep in touch!

I got an E-mail from Corgi USA on Feb 20 stating that they were still waiting for the shipment to arrive but are expecting it any day. Then they would start shipping them out 2 weeks after they get them. So its been roughly 3 weeks so they should be arriving at your door step soon.

The silver doesn't look all that bad, going to have to do some research to figure out how to paint it.
