Re: New Corgi Release at the Mule

That East German MiG-29 is slightly tempting - it appears that the camo pattern and the specail markings mask a lot of the gaps (except for that huge one behinde the cockpit). Unless I can pick one up cheap, however, I am likely to pass. I prefer operational schemes to specials - especially one that made one flight!

I am also tempted by the FAA Hellcat and Avenger - would be a nice contrast to all my USN birds...

By the way that Indian MiG-21 is hiddeous - the colors hurt my eyes! There must be better IAF schemes out there.

Ditto, I'm tempted as it's in an East German scheme that would go well in my Cold War collection, but only if it comes cheap enough. Being 1990, I'm not sure it counts anyway!

Folks, please keep in mind that in my eyes, Corgi have messed that thing completely up by:

- using wrong tailfins (just compare it to the tailfins on the pre-pro on Tricatus´ site which would have been correct);

-painting it with the LSK/LV livery which it just wore for ca. two years (it should have been the grey Luftwaffe livery from 1990-2004);

-leaving gaps that are in no way masked away by those special markings.

No, as I said before, a German MiG-29 must look like this one and all my hopes are being laid upon Witty now:

Re: New Corgi Release at the Mule

Both the FAA Hellcat and Avenger look pretty sweet - I'm thinking of getting the Avenger.

From what research I could do regarding the planes, the ships they were on were both involved in attacks on the Tirpitz in 1944. Since both these planes are the Corgi Predator versions under "Ultimate Squadrons", could some who has purchased the Avenger (or at least seen the info. in its booklet) please confirm that the reason these planes (i.e. squadrons) were picked had to do with the attacks on the Tirpitz. Re: New Corgi Release at the Mule

The third Halifax with the desert scheme is also shown along with a cracking FAA Hellcat and Avenger. I can leave the Halifax as I have two already but the FAA birds are a must have

I agree Shamrock, i'll be grabbing both of those FAA birds also.

As for their A-10..... yawn, sorry but I can no longer be bothered - I have 2 HM versions and cannot imagine Corgi will do better, as much as it pains me to admit being the loyal Corgi fan that I am..
