| Corgi Warbird Typhoon upgrade Having paid full 'whack' for both the Corgi Typhoons it's great to get a bargain; Warbird Typhoon. Okay so you don't get an undercarriage choice, pilot figure, but what you do get is the best so Typhoon out so far. The UK forum members raved about it and having got it yesterday they are bang on the money. It has accurate paintwork, including a dark grey underside and no yellow to distract you. A pilot figure can be inserted if you follow carefully these tips. Insert a sharp scalpel at the front of the cockpit and make a small gap; repeat at the rear area. The plastic lugs may snap but you're able to ease the cockpit over the radio aerial. Don't worry it will fit back perfectly. The pilot's seat has a lug protruding from the seat bottom; remove this carefully with the scalpel. Insert the pilot, checking head height before putting a tiny drop of glue at the lug spot front and rear of the cockpit canopy. Ease the canopy down the aerial and press into place. For very little money, you get a smashing Typhoon until the rocket and bomb armed models appear next year. |
