Corgi Raf Wessex

This is one aircraft that I've been looking forward to getting. It does not disappoint as the overall finish and attention to detail is very good. If 'paraffin budgies' are your poison then this should be on your list.

Hate to tell you this Shamrock but its a total dissaster. It is missing the walkways on the top of the fuselage and behind the rotor head ,this I have corrected using decals but the worst thing is the windows on the port side ,these should be square as on the SAR version but for some reason they have given this model the rectangular ones from a navy HU5 .What makes it worse is that the starboard side is correct with square windows so this one does not represent any Wessex ever made.Having flown in 72Sqn Wessex around 70-80 times I was really looking forwards to this one and it has left me totally dissapointed.

Why does Corgi keep missing this stuff? It's so darn easy to avoid . . . sheesh! (What a bummer.)

All that aside, it looks pretty damned nice.

Re: Corgi Raf Wessex

I knew that you would have interesting things to say about this helicopter Sniper. To my untrained eye it looks like a good Wessex but I know that you have it 'right on the money'. It is a pity that the 'ship was lost but for a haporth of tar! I still like it
