Re: Send us your Corgi model suggestions

I decided to put in suggestion that would combine two molds that they already have. Put in suggestion for Fw 190/Ju 88 training Mistel, like one in picture below. No major changes to the molds and just a matter of designing the bracing. To be honest, do not think this one is to unrealistic.

Re: Send us your Corgi model suggestions

How come many of these companies do not have a better helicopter range is 1/72? They all seem to do the same models to death, the P51, the P38 or the Spitfire or Bf109/s. Why not do a FW200 or Me163,Ar 196 or Blohm und Voss BV138, or maybe some helicopters like the CH46 or the CH53. Just to get some real variety in our models we love.

This combination would be a logical step for Corgi or perhaps even a 'Special Commission' from an established retailer .

I aksed for a 1/72 scale Vulcan and Victor, they could just upsize there 1/144 mold, what a bird those would be in 1/72.

Re: Send us your Corgi model suggestions

Had send my suggestion for the FW 200 Condor in maritime and in the livery of A. H. personal plane.

Lovely variation of Fw.200 scemes.....!

I'd imagine though that the suggestion of 'Uncle-Adolph's' Kondor would be greeted by the 'P.C.' brigade with as much 'popularity' as a pork-pie at a barmitzvah

Love the Maritime-scheme !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Send us your Corgi model suggestions

I asked for more ETO (8th AF) B-24s in both OD and NMF,
with special attention to "Witchcraft".

Well said - not enough folks know about 'Witchcraft' & her fantastic history.......

Good to know there's some decent pic's of her around - yet she's still not as famous as she should be !!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's to 2nd.A.D's finest

Re: Send us your Corgi model suggestions

Yeah Shawn, that's the plane that's painted-up to represent the Top-Scoring 8th A.F. B.24 of all-time........

Sadly, the REAL 'Witchcraft' (which had been based at Rackheath, Norfolk, England) was scrapped after she flew back to the Z.I. in June 1945 having survived the War & 130 missions.....

One of our local newspapers (the Eastern Daily Press) made a book during the 50th anniversary of the 2nd.A.D. in Norfolk......

called....... "Over Here" (by) Steve Snelling........ it's lavishly Illustrated & is photo' orientated !!!!!!!!

Inside there are several photo's including a SUPERB aerial VERY-Low-Level shot of 4 x Rackheath Liberators, taken whilst overflying the hardstandings at Rackheath next to 'Dakenham Farm' (double spread; pages 138 & 139)

You can CLEARLY see the farm, & closest to the 'waist-window' shot, is 'Witchcraft'.......

Interestingly, her 'Q.2' marking (in Grey, over Olive-drab) is even smaller than that portrayed on the Collings-Foundation example.
(like it would JUST fit inside the waist window !)

Also noteworthy, is that the fuselage National Insig' (star & bar) is overwashed in Grey, making it very toned down, unlike the rudder-bar 'stripe' & the circle 'P' background, which are bright-white !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shawn,
I'm assuming by the way you've worded your last-post, that the Collings-Foundation B.24 is no longer painted-up as 'Witchcraft' ?????
