The same is true for the B-24 Michigan. So, if this gets your goat, then do not purchase Michigan.

That's weird -- you don't see that in RAF bombers(!)

Guess it's easier on the assembly line to have all the figures installed. Note the wireless operator hidden in the Wellington

Re: Corgi bombers

To be honest, I never pay much attention to the crew figures in diecast models. They just seem to block viewing area for potential interior detailing.

I think they are ready to releve themselves from all that coffee they drank.

Thumbs up Re: Corgi bombers

. . . Hey jpn at least the halifax looks cool with the men in it

That, indeed, it does! I think Corgi got some new crew figures for this one. Very cool to peer into the top and see the Flight Engineer checking the gauges! Mind you, you can do that on the Lanc too, but the guy is sitting down. (Of course, that 'stringbag' Swordfish has the nicest crew I've seen on any model by Corgi so far!! I only wish it fit with my collection.)

(heh-heh) In most of the 1:72 models I've got, they ARE the interior detail!!

Funny, but a good point. I still would rather look in a cockpit and see interior detail as apposed to small plastic fig.
