Swordfish Opinions

I've heard many good things about this model but I know very little of its history. I just ordered the float plane version. Is this version a good one? I know I should have asked this prior to ordering it but it just looks too cool!

All of the Swordfishes are very good and you can't go wrong with any of them.. My favorite would probably be the Black Swordfish as it just looks good all in black..

Hi Lanslide,
I have 3 of the Swordfish's from Corgi including the float plane version. IMHO, it's the best one! There's just something aesthetically pleasing about floats on an airplane!

I had the Black Swordfish and loved it...Now all of them are nice looking ....but when i got the Black one they did not
have the one you just bought with floats..The Float Swordfish looks pretty cool too.

Re: Swordfish Opinions

They are all fantastic! I have 3 including the float version. I chose for my first the Bismark version as it saw combat and it typical of the wartime Swordfish portrayed in pictures and model kits.

Re: Swordfish Opinions

Now that you have one, you will be "sliding" down the slippery slope, 'slide; you will want more. I have two, and I try very hard to resist the temptation to add more, but it is tough.

BTW... Perry's has the floatplane in stock... in fact, when I looked yesterday, all the Swordfisheez were in stock, on sale, incredible prices.

Hey Elmer,
I placed an order with them for my first time. I was sent a confirmation before giving my credit card info. How do they work this? Do they call or email customers for payment info. after the order is placed or did I do something incorrectly?

Re: Swordfish Opinions

Does the floatplane version come with a dolly or catapult? Does it need to be displayed on the stand?

No dolly, just the stand.. I displayed mine on the stand, but there is a member on the UK forum that just set his on its floats..

Re: Swordfish Opinions

Bob does things the old fashion way ....If your CC number is wrong they will call you ..Most of the time you will just get a email confirmation and then 5 days or sooner the models at your door.
It takes me 2 days to get my planes from him since i live in Cailf and he is only 1 state away.
It only has a stand too.
