Re: Corgi 2008 US releases

I am impressed with the planes, but not impreesed that it took this long to get the US releases and there is nothing different from the UK ones released 2 months ago. I assumed the delay was because of the US releases.
Guess I was wrong

As has been pointed out, these *are* the UK releases we're talk'n about (notwithstanding the confusing title of this thread). US models are prefixed with "US" (or in TFM format, "CG-US"), rather than the "AA" used with the UK line. For example, compare US37401, a pending US release, with AA36506, a UK release slated for 2008.

Yes, but US retailers (and Canadian too) have been waiting on Corgi to release the North American Catalog and prices. Now that TFM has the price list (still waiting for mine) I will have to assume there are no USxxxxx releases for the 1st half 2008, or TFM would of listed them, even if no pictures were available.
I put in a call to Corgi to confirm that there are no US releases (may be a seperate catalog) but haven't had a reply yet.

Well I hope they do reply, as I would like to adding that Blenheim IV and Gibson Mossie to my desktop aerodrome sometime in 2008. I've got a RAF early 40s thing going on here right now and that Blenheim sure would look nice! (Of course a Mk I would look nicer!! In my dreams . . .)

Only interested in the PRU Blue P-38 so far. But prefer it without the OH-7 treatment!!

Re: Corgi 2008 US releases

Hey, great, there's only about 10 I want. Let's see, at $40 average, that's only $400.

Plus the HM releases and Gemini stuff...25 new planes next year. Not bad. What to Ebay?

Re: Corgi 2008 US releases

Instead of mistaking AA releases as US releases on the basis of retail price, which seems strange to me, you will find the actual 2008 US releases here, sadly no pictures yet and it includes other items, before someone points that out. It was obtained by operating a simple search on the FM site, so it caught some other items too.

Re: Corgi 2008 US releases

Here is another.

Captain Ray Wetmore flew a Mustang nicknamed Daddy's Girl with the 370th Fighter Squadron of the 359th Fighter Group, based at East Wretham. With 21.25 (22.6?) victories, 16 of them in Mustangs, he was the top scorer of the 359th. Lt. Wetmore scored on May 29, 1944, downing an FW-190 while on a bomber escort mission over Politz. Wetmore served two combat tours, which enabled him to witness the last gasps of the Luftwaffe's once mighty fighter force.

I know these pics are of a D model but all of his aircraft were named "Daddy's Girl". Pics are from warbirdresourcegroup.
