Re: What is your MOST Desired twin engine bomber?

I say Do-17z or 217e.

Not sure if it would be possible to do both from one mold but I doubt it. Either really.

Re: What is your MOST Desired twin engine bomber?

but then I got thinking: "If I could have ANY twin engine bomber, which one would I like the most?" :
-- Handley Page Hampden

Assuming we're talking about 1:72 scale planes, I would opt for a Lockheed Hudson
As for the Beaufighter, I don't really see it as a bomber. Rather, it's a jack of all trades entry---night fighter, anti-ship attacker, torpedo plane, etc.

the A.W. Whitley would be a good choice from Corgi.

I forgot about the Hudson ("Yank in the RAF") and a Whitley would be an excellent choice!!JPN

The Whitley would be great .

(ALL say 'Amen') !!!!!!!!!!! AMEN !

IF ONLY CORGI READ THIS PAGE & ACTUALLY TOOK NOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whitley - Hudson - Hampden (& WHITLEY) again

Butcherbird; nice thinking, but you've got more chance of being 'struck on the head' by a passing C-46 Cargo-door !!!!!!!

Amen! I certainly hope the Corgi folks start taking notice of this forum. They have done such a lovely job of all their other RAF bombers, these would be absolute prizes to any collection. Although I would prefer a Blenheim Mk I, I suspect I shall have to make do with the upcoming Mk IV -- life could be worse? (unless I build the Mk I from a kit, of which there are a few around).

Me too. I hope Corgi is not discouraged by the FOV B-26

Corgi is having to try to do a lot with a little in the short term so it will all be down to what will actually sell in numbers as opposed to what would be necesarily nice to see in terms of plugging a gap in collections. For example, the P-38 was a great model and most collectors on both sides of the pond would probably have marked it down as a dead cert hit but but I think sales have been disappointing with it ending up being 'dumped'.

Also the economics of producing a modified tooling as opposed to a new one would seem to favour variants such as a Blenheim MK I.
