Sopwith Camel 1/48

According to the info on the Flying Tigers web site, a Sopwith Camel is due in 2008! Excellent news!

Did anyone already post about this and I just missed it?

In any event, I'm glad to see the WW I diecast range expanding, even if very slowly.

FVD, I could not agree more.

Re: Sopwith Camel 1/48

I'm curious to see how they compare to C1's excellent WWI models.

Re: Sopwith Camel 1/48

Actually, lanslide, there was already a comparison posted, I believe, under the "SE5a" thread, the forum member thought the Carousel's were better, but the Corgi's were alright, and that the rigging was very nicely done.

Re: Sopwith Camel 1/48

... and the Corgis are priced significantly under C1, so may be good value.

Apparently the Corgis are fine except for the "plastic-looking prop" (Cardinal's review).

Yeah... it was posted in a thread announcing Corgi's new 1st and 2nd quarter releases for 2008, so it is slightly "dated" news at this point. Nevertheless, still exciting.
