Re: HALIFAX B.III RAF No.578 Sqn Cyril Barton **PICTURES**

Great pics JP. This one looks miles better than the first release. I prefer the radial engines on the Halifax. For those waiting for Friday the 13th, remember it will have French markings on the left side.

I believe that the Jury is still out on this issue and there may be a good possibility that the Museum (with partial French markings) and the WWII versions will be produced ... (speculation at this stage)

"O Wise One No 4" where on the latest Halifax should the antenna be? or should an antenna be visible at all. I expect this beauty soon and am looking forward to my second 'cracker'.

I'm with you Cardinal, the jury is still out. From the last I've read the model is based on the the 'Survivors' section of the Corgi Catalogue it would have both markings. Personally, I would prefer the wartime markings. It looks good in the pre-pros.

Question Re: HALIFAX B.III RAF No.578 Sqn Cyril Barton **PICTURES**

It would be nice of Corgi to communicate. Why should we speculate? They are surely aware that many would want the wartime version. The poll on the DAF indicates that preference. I wonder whether the same will hold true here?

As previously mentioned -- clipped off. It shouldn't be there. Now, forgive me, as I can't remember where on this forum they were posted (either Corgi Classics or Pub entry) but one of you guys posted some black and white war time shots of 'Friday the 13th'. That aircraft is clearly a Mk III and the photos do NOT have that antenna. That's all the proof anyone should need. Personally -- I wouldn't get my knickers in a knot over it!!

I believe they have already communicated - and that was to inform us that Friday 13th will carry dual markings. Nothing to the contrary has been stated to date.

Thats news to me. Didn't think we had any official statement one way or the other, just a lot of conjecture over who Corgi were taking advice from. If that is indeed the case then I'm glad I've ordered this one and not waited. If any do sell out I think this will be the first to go.

Ooops!

Has that been confirmed? Last I heard the livery was still being discussed.

My scalpel is ready to lop off the offending appendage on this Halifax! Did this Mark of Halifax have a visible radio antenna? Can the panel help?
