Production number stamps on stands....

I have a 1:72 Pistal Packin Liberator. The stand includes the production number stamped on the base. Has Corgi discontinued this feature. It was great IMO.

Just curious.

Hope my Mnt n Ride B17 has this feature.

Thanks

Re: Production number stamps on stands....

Corgi doesn't do this anymore - at least not on the newest ones I have - but I agree it was a great feature. It must have been cost prohibitive but at least they are numbered certificates - hint, hint EI, Carousel 1, HM.....

Re: Production number stamps on stands....

I wish they'd go back to the production number on the stands over the certificate. To me the certificate is one more thing to possibly lose

Re: Production number stamps on stands....

I seem to remember the majority of forum posts at the time were against the stamps on the stands and for a return of the certificates.

Re: Production number stamps on stands....

Stamps on stands are fine, I have a number myself. On the dull side of the coin, I have quality issues with the stands. The locator on the plastic stand sometimes doesn't fit the upright portion and vice versa. The newer stands, because of design improvements, maintain the authenticity of the model and in many ways, preserve it. Like the idea on the newer stands......hate it on the clear stands.
