Finally here! The Halifax!

At long last the Halifax has arrived on this side of the pond. Worth waiting for? Yes would be my first reaction. Be prepared for a huge reduction in weight compared to the Lancaster, B-17, and B-24. The bomb bay is plastic, in either the open or closed position, but alas it cannot be flown with the bomb doors open. Plastic is used entirely to construct the undercarriage units which fit well and are rugged. I'm not an expert and therefore will not comment on what may or may not be incorrect on this model such as the shade of green, gun turret etc. To me it looks like a perfect Halifax albeit on the light side and I'm looking forward to it's Hercules engined brother. Enjoy the snaps guys.

Re: Finally here! The Halifax!

Awesome!! Thanks for the pics.. I already have this one on pre-order, so I am glad she turned out good..

I am sure there will be some discussion about the top turret on the UK side of the pond though...

Thumbs up Re: Finally here! The Halifax!

Looks pretty darn sharp from where I'm sitting!! Plastic or no plastic, it still makes for a unique, rarely seen model. What a stunning '30s look. Enjoy! (I'm patiently waiting for my Mk lll.)

Re: Finally here! The Halifax!

I must admit that this is not one of my favourites but I may be tempted to consider "Friday the 13th" when it's released.

Re: Finally here! The Halifax!

The plastic issue will stir some discussion here I am sure.

It doesn't bother me unless quality degrades. I guess somethings got to give. Either prices go up or metal content goes down a bit. Considering how bad my addiction is I'll go for the lower prices.

Thanks for posting the these "first look" pictures. I think I'll take one please.
