First Corgi B-17

Well, my first Corgi B-17 I bought came today. I got it on ebay for $45, so I decided I might as well pick one up. It is US33308 Mount N' Ride w/nose art. Curious if you guys prefer using the stands or gear down mode?

Re: First Corgi B-17

I like them up, but gear down is good too. I'm jealous though, I want MnR but I'm full up on B-17s for now. Maybe one day!

Re: First Corgi B-17

I have MNR and it is one fine B-17.. I prefer to display mine in flight, but sitting on its gear is just as good..

WWC, I apply both modes.Experiment with either and you'll make up your own mind what is suitable to display

Re: First Corgi B-17

I have two '17's, one each way, but I kinda like the one on it's wheels, with the bomb bay doors open. Not sure why, but it just looks so powerful. Looking at it, I can just hear those big radial engines whining as they are being started up by the pilot! WOW!

Re: First Corgi B-17

Twelve O'Clock High- One of the best war movies made. But if you look closely, in one of the scenes when German fighters are attacking the bombers, the wing guns of the German fighter which is firing on the bombers is actually those of a P-47.
