Talking Avro Lancaster AA32612

Hello All,

Just put up on my display case the new Corgi Avro Lancaster Dambuster Sights and Sounds . It is one great looking model and as I have alway's loved lancaster's it's a great addition to my collection . The sights and sounds part of it (the base) is also great , with the guns and the lights going off and the Dambuster theme playing along , so to me it is one GREAT model and a must to have.

Re: Avro Lancaster AA32612

Just bought one of these off of ebay (still to arrive), Id tried to get the original release of this model (sans musical base) with nil success so this was the next best thing. Apparently the original model had the camo markings reversed which was corrected in this later version. I will display this Lanc on a standard issue stand and keep the S&S stand in the box....boring old fart I am

Re: Avro Lancaster AA32612

I bought one a few weeks back and i had to change my base on the stand...My kid kept going in there and pushing that button
to hear all the music and guns going off.

I got my SnS Dambuster Lanc a couple of weeks ago (thanx to a kind response here re: landing gear). I absolutely LOVE this version. I'm now glad I missed the first version(!) As I too am a boring old fart, mine sits on its landing gear on my desk -- with Bader's 1:72 Spitfire Mk Va screaming up in the background on a modded Corgi Britannia stand. Perfect!

I only wish my PO•S had the final assembly attention paid to it as this one does. (*shakes head*)

Doesn't this look like a loaded heavy-weight? I love the styro-rub on the inboard engine nacelles -- looks a bit like glycol & exhaust stains! (Not visible in normal light)

Re: Avro Lancaster AA32612

Looks good, maybe I'll have to add this as my "wartime" Lanc. S - Sugar would be my first choice but.........

Well, PO•S is a colourful bird, for sure, with a great story. The B&W silent film footage celebrating the 100th mission on YouTube is pretty interesting as well. Search: S for Sugar

Regardless, you won't be disappointed.
