Corgi 10th anniversary bf 109

Quick question. Did all the 10th ann bf 109 come with special certificates in the box. There is a guy who wants to sell one, but he said it didn't come with a cert.?

Re: Corgi 10th anniversary bf 109

The 10th Anniversary Bf-109s were commissioned models from the Corgi Heritage Centre (a UK major dealer celebrating THEIR 10th Anniversary) which sadly went down (bankrupt).
There were two models, AA32108 a 'battle scared' version only 500 issued with certificate for sixty good old British pounds (or free if you spent a couple of hundred nicker) and AA32108 in standard camouflage, only 1500 produced with certificate at 24.99 spondoolies each.
When CHC went 'under', Corgi reclaimed some of their unsold stock and sold them off to other dealers WITHOUT certificates. (and then they were/are available pretty cheap at about 12 quid or 24 US dollars each)

Okay, I got the "good old British pounds" and the "spondoolies", but I always thought "nickers" were lacey, delicate things that are worn ......

Yep - 2 countries separated by a common language - You forgot quid - I counted 4 different expressions for the pound in that one. Spondoolies is alway a fav of mine. Haven't heard that for quite some time.

Nickers still are either a lacy undergarment or a mild expletive. The subtlety comes in the lack of a plural. Not sure the origination but I suspect it's to imply that you nicked (stole) it.

Ooops!

Spondoolies, I believe, is a form of currency used in Pomgolia.

You are quite right....
Knickers are female pants.
In the UK anyway, not to be confused with trousers, strides, plusfours etc. Only Superman wears his pants outside his trousers.
