Re: EE Lightning

I had to chase one down on the Bay. Took some time and a little help from a fellow forum member who snatched one I was looking at on the Bay. But managed to get 49401 56 sqdn Firebirds version for a decent price , thanks again for the tip ZS-VAN. Keep checking E-Bay but be warned as most of the ones that come up for sale are in the UK, and shipping charges can get high. Good luck and happy hunting, they are a great addition to your collection, has to be my favorite tail burner.

Re: EE Lightning

You don't seem to encounter EE Lightning models very often in the States. I have one (AA49102) and it is one of my more cherished models. It was one of the first that I purchased when I began my descent into the madness of die cast collecting. And, because of the polished metal finish, it is the only model I have that was displayed briefly before being returned to its box.

I would like to add a couple of other versions of the plane to my collection someday.

Re: EE Lightning

There are EE Lightnings on Ebay regularly. Not too long ago I saw Dutchies Lightnings on the UK forum and decided to get a few since I only had the polished metal one. And I get to see Lightnings take to the air from time to time, so... Since then I've added two to my collection and Kabelace one. I've seen a few since. What I did was fix the price I wanted pay then went for it. Typically they go for between £25 and £35. Look out though, I'm still after one or two.

You are a lucky man ZS , it seems we are not grown up enough to be allowed them in the UK so they went to your place .

The real ones I mean of course.

Thank you Jim, very much appreciated! They are bit of a handful and do need lots of airspace! Don't think you guys have too much to spare.
