Re: corgi vs easy model

I went by phantomphans store bigguns collectibles today and saw some of the new easy models today. I think the new P-40's are out of this world. They had a Russian lend-lease P-40 that rocked. I bought a Wildcat the pre-war yellow winged version and next to my Dragon version they go nicel;y as a team. The easy model Hellcats and Corsiars are super nice. I can buy 4 for the price of an AA Corgi. Mix it up have fun!

Yes, I agree with Louie! I have the pre-war Wildcat and the detail is great and I really like the price too. I have some EM BF-109's (E & G types), some Corsairs, other Wildcats (actually all 5 of them) some Russian ones and a few other various types. I like them overall. Some minor fuddy-duddy things like glossy paint or whatever with them, but then again even the die-cast companies have their faults with every model they produce. And you can't beat the price of $10.00 or less for them, you can't even build a plastic kit for that with paint, glue, time, etc.!

Re: corgi vs easy model

Easy Model makes awsome F4U-4 Corsairs, Wildcats, Hellcats P-40's, Yaks & Migs.
Their stangs, & spits are o.k. but not as good as the latter.
For the money they put a few diecast models that cost twice or three times as much to shame, they are always worth taking a look at.

Yes, I agree! And in their Catalog for 2007-2008 releases, they are gonna have some cool planes/helis that no one else has or even will have on the market. They are worth taking a second look for sure and pick you up a few, and for a cheap price too!

Re: corgi vs easy model

Now I’m really getting hyper about Easy Planes. Can’t wait for my Soviet P-40, Hurricane and Fw-190D to come flying through my saucer door.

Re: corgi vs easy model

Hmmm, I'll take a close look when I get to your store next Friday. See you then!

FVD

Cool, Im out of the Korean War era Corsairs but I have a few WWII ones left.
Which are still nice models, but for some reason I like EM's later Corsairs a little more.
