Sea Gladiator

My Gladiator came tonight and I must say I was not really into this plane at first but took a leap of faith and dudes it is a sweet model in person. The wires are real metal! I am very very pleased and pray the Swordfish are at least this well done. Great job Corgi from someone who has been hard on you as of late.

It is an absolutely great model. Both the Sea and Norway Gladiators are real winners. Even if you don't collect the genre, you should get at least one or the other, because they are destined to be classics!

Cool Re: Sea Gladiator

How successful have they been as sellers?

I ordered the Sea Gladiator but have been wanting a Norway one after they first landed and were discussed here.

I tend to agree with Celtic, they're destined to be classics which is I'll try to get now.

So much to go for now though! Tough choices!

Re: Sea Gladiator

I agree that the Gladiator is a fine model, but no matter how good it is, I can't see myself having more than one or two in the collection. It's much like the HM Dauntless in this way. Great models though...

I agree w/ you Canucklehead, VERY nice little birds (I have the first 2) but I just don’t see myself buying another... At least until the Reno air-racer version comes out! That’s a joke people! No PM's asking for a photo link please.

Absolutely dying for the Swordfish! Anybody heard an ETA stateside on those???

Re: Sea Gladiator

There is one more to get though.

I've seen one painted silver with Norwegian colours flying in the UK.

That would be nice.

Re: Sea Gladiator

I intended to get a couple, but somehow have finished up with 5 :-0 Norway, Sea Gladiator, plus F,H & C. Guess I got a bit carried away! There's one more I want - a Glad in desert colours, then I'll be satisfied.

Re: Sea Gladiator

How about a Finnish Glad with skis? Apparently Corgi are doing one...

Re: Sea Gladiator

Re the Stringbag (Swordfish for the colonials), My UK contact has a prototype one and is very effusive about the model's folding wing capability and the rigging, ("frigging in" not for the use of). He couldn't confirm a delivery date.
