Interesting to see, but definitely not for me - kinda kitsch in my opinion, but I'm sure many will enjoy it .

OMG!

From my POV this is appealing to kids but nothing for a serious collector!

Just my 2 cents...

Re: MUST SEE VIDEO Corgi Sights & Sounds Lancaster Dambuster!

So....can one just put ANY Corgi 1:72 scale bomber on that stand with the same effect???? (The actual model does nothing???)

Maybe there is a market out there for "Action"/interactive stands for diecast. I know we have discussed diorama type stands on the old hangar and (I believe) on this one. How about - aftermarket/sold seperately "sights & sounds" stands for the whole Corgi range? (Not that I'm hot for them - but would give serious consideration depending on the execution.)

When I watched the video, I was expecting the props to rotate - i.e. 1:32 Corgi Little Freddie; etc.

Well...you could put a different bomber on the stand but if it wasn't an Avro Lancaster dam buster it would look very out of place. LOL!!! Yes, there is a detailed topographical landscape on the base featuring the dam and river passing through it after having been "busted". Doesn't show up on the low-quality You Tube video, unfortunately.

Like the other Dam Buster released by Corgi this Lancaster has extremely high intensity poseable spotlights that add to the effect especially in a dark room. You can see me monkeying with the case light at the start of the video.

At a time that Corgi is very vulnerable to criticism with high prices and cancelled models, etc. IMO this is not a good target for criticism. In person it's a very well done and spectacular display of sights and sounds.

That's pretty neat. Thanks for posting it CLLCTR5. I can see where it might not be appealing to all. Personally it's not for me, but I bet a lot of kids might like this better. Could even get some into collecting.

I really enjoyed the Avro Lancaster video's that were listed with it!
