Thumbs up Westland Lysander

I don't know many of our regular participants to HM II own this bird, but if you don't have one in your collection I believe you're missing out on a great diecast model. If you liked the "Swordfish" or the "Gladiator", you're sure to like this one. I have the one from the MTO, Palestine, 1940, and I can't get over the fine details and the camo livery. Even the crew looks fit. Plus, I bought this little beauty for $19.95, and no postage. Sorry, it was in a clearance sale and when I rechecked the site, the issue was sold out. I just hope that Corgi keeps producing models of this quality; I'll buy all they produce.

I don't have one yet, but the SOE black version is on my "buy" list....

Me too, and I don't usually double-up on a model from the same manufacturer.

I've got the same Lysander in my desert collection, and agree with you - it's a very nice model of a slightly unusual aircraft. The black SOE one is also on my purchasing list!

The black one is on my list too.

They should include a 1/32 character of Flick Clairet with the SOE version.

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

I Think It Is One Of Corgi's Best. Just A Pity The Way They Handled The Upper Glazing Thus Making It Difficult To Install The Ladder.

I just received mine tonight (and from the same sale as Stalag) and I am really happy with it too. It has some nice detail and looks perfect with my MTO aircraft. About my only complaint is with the ladder assembly as when it is placed in its slot it hangs about 45 degrees out from the fuselage. But that isn't a deal-breaker at all. And it has a nice low card number to boot (15). I have no problem recommending it for a collection - even yours PappyB (which, btw, he had the nerve to call a thing! cheeky bugger).

I'll also be adding the black version when (IF) it is released.
