B 24 Dragon and its Tail

I recently acquired the 1:72 B-24 the Dragon and its tail. I noticed the duplicate tail of the dragon on the under belly of the plane. I checked tricatus site and it appeared to be the same mistake on all corgi planes. How can I fix that problem? What solvent should I use to remove the extra tail without messing the silver paint? Should I keep it as it is? Any suggestion appreciated. thank you.

Re: B 24 Dragon and its Tail

Are you sure it's a mistake? I thought it was supposed to be that way so that when the bomb bay doors are open (not feasible on the model, I'm talking about the real airplane) the dragon's tail is still complete.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure the B-24 experts will chime in any time...

Re: B 24 Dragon and its Tail

Thanks Mustangdriver, it's just as I thought. It makes sense with the way the bomb bays open on the B-24.

Re: B 24 Dragon and its Tail

Thank you guys, problem solved without using the chemicals. I am glad I asked the members before reaching the point of no return and ruining a perfectly fine plane.
