Bf110 for 2008???

Was just going though some unread threads in the UK forum, and I found this one. Lev from the UK was asked to get feedback on Corgi either doing a Tiger Moth or 110 for 2008.

http://forums.diecast-aviation.eu/showthread.php?t=5701

My votes on the 110 - Awesome

Re: Bf110 for 2008???

I don't understand Corgi's rationale here. It has been announced that HobbyMaster will be releasing a Me 110 in the next few months. I know they get a fair bit of "Corgi only" collectors buying their stuff, but if the the Corgi mold is any way inferior to HM's, the going will be rough, and that may be especially dependent on Corgi's new pricing structure. The same goes for their new P-51 mold. They are really going to have to watch it.

Re: Bf110 for 2008???

Don't you think though with all the HM announcements for release this year (07) that they have over extended themselves a bit? I can see a fair portion of that lot getting pushed back to 2008, or coming in at a lower quality because they are doing too much. It would be interesting to get some info on how far advanced the HM 110 is.

I think this could be a smart move for Corgi. There are a lot of variations for this one, and it's bound to be popular.

Re: Bf110 for 2008???

No matter what happens, HM's will be first on the market. They haven't dropped the ball too bad with release dates so far, whereas the same cannot be said for Corgi. Corgi may be under new management, but it'll take a bit before I believe their projected release dates. The first Ju 52 was originally slated for February, no word on the first Halifax supposedly due in the next four days by my calendar.

Re: Bf110 for 2008???

I'd happily buy both but the lack of a 110 at this point baffles me. Seems like a nobrainer. I hadn't heard about Hobby Master's 110, though.

Re: Bf110 for 2008???

Bf 110 would be great, from either Corgi or HM, or they will combine to do a predator series..., with HM providing 1.72 pilots as well, all my problems are solved!

A Bf110 would be good for 2008.

And I hope we get a Nightfighter Bf-110 variant as well.

Re: Bf110 for 2008???

All fine and good, but I really won't be truly happy until that airplane comes out in 1/48, and in both day and night fighter versions...

I'll buy a 1/72 version as a stop-gap, though (in fact I have the IXO as a poor-man's stop-gap right now).

This version is a must as is the BoB variant wether it is Corgi or HM I am sure they will be well worth the wait.
