P-51 "The Hun Hunter...(AA32201)

I was just able to pick this model up on Ebay. (Its my 1st Non-Tuskegee Corgi P-51.)

Even with the negative discussions/opinions about the Corgi 1:72 P-51 mold - this is a really neat model. The grean over silver paint scheme is just really sharp as well as the detais in this paint scheme.

The only reason I picked this model up was that it was going for a price I felt I just couldn't pass up. I'm really glad I did. It is a really great looking addition to the collection - even with the inaccurate mold issue(s).

DADoser,
Hey there.

Congratulations on the find. While I will say that Dragon P-51 are sharper than Corgi's effort, Corgi's plane is by no means the worst diecast in the world. I've got a couple Corgi P-51's and my Tuskegee Creamer's Dream sits nicely next to me here on my desk. I think you did good, especially if you got a reasonable price.

Anything for a weird life.

Cool Re: P-51 "The Hun Hunter...(AA32201)

Well, I picked up my Hun Hunter yesterday! Won it on Ebay. I really liked this one since the time I saw a friends one some years back. Gorgeous bird. I agree that Dragon's P51 is better, but my first diecast plane was Corgi P51 Tuskegee bird. Still love them.

Guys, no matter what Skunky might say, you shouldn't be embarassed if you like a Corgi Mustang

Yeah, they've got some issues, but some of the schemes are really nice -- such as the one you're talking about here. I've been tempted to nab that one myself.

Hun Hunter from Texas is the Corgi 1/72 Mustang that I like best. I missed this when it came out, and then it quickly became very pricey. Over the last year they have dropped off in price, like a lot of the older ones, and I snapped one up at a very good price.

Oooh boy, you gonna get it now from our buddy, Skunky, for such a remark!

I'm not afraid to say it and very happy that I got Bill Dunham's P-51 "Bonnie" Nose Art panel by Corgi when it went on sale. As PappyB said it does have a nice and colorfull scheme about it!

I have it too. I like it and it's just one of 2 that I have actually. The other is the RAF Legends one. Nice for you!
I saw that an Ebay seller was offering these for like $25 or so.

I think it's the best Corgi P-51.

As I've said, I love my Corgi Mustangs. Dragons are better and I now have 4 and looking for more. Still, I won't be getting rid of my Corgis.

I have Corgi,Dragon and Gemini Mustangs...I will tell you this one Mustang that does get overlooked
the Matchbox P-51 Mustang really is one fine looking P-51D.
I have all the Matchbox ones and they sit nice with the others too.
Corgi's "The Hun Hunter" is a really nice one as well.
