Re: Corgi He-111 Poll...Which one is your favorite ?

1. Hindenburg
2. Blitz
3. Doodlebug
...in that order (I like the traditional European-theater green-grey)

IMHO, the 111 is one of Corgi's best molds.

Re: Corgi He-111 Poll...Which one is your favorite ?

My doodlebug Heinkel showed up today. You guys are right, it's a gem! Mine did not come with a cert though and I do not see one in Tricatus' pics either.

Is this one a certed model?

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

It is a limited edition. Not the first time that a certificate is missing from Corgi. I have also a Doodlebug and im lucky that i have the certificate. If you like it you can print a "copy" of the certificate from the Tricatus site.

We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives.

Yeah, I figured as Tri's site does tell what number he has...

I know this happens with Corgis sometimes but I have/have had over 200 of these and I think this is only the 2nd time I have not received a cert.

Both times the models were clearly MIB and had not been opened too. Stinkin' pooch.

It's still a nice plane.

Re: Corgi He-111 Poll...Which one is your favorite ?

He-111 trivia. Did you know that the extensively glazed nose caused such a reflection from lights at night and in bad weather that the pilot could slide back the glass panel over his head and raise his seat so his head was actually outside the aircraft? There is a small air deflector in front of the glass panel. Now Corgi should release the 5 engine glider tug, the He 111 Z, standing for Zwilling or twin. It was built from two 111 H-6s joined together with a connecting wing and a fifth engine and used to tow the giant Messerschmitt Me 321 or two Gotha Go 242 gliders. Ten He 111 Zs were built, and all served until destroyed one way or another. There's two more gliders Corgi could produce to go with the Waco and Horsa for the C-47.

Post Re: Corgi He-111 Poll...Which one is your favorite ?

Difficult to pick a favourite He111 as I like them all but of the ones I own which are Hindenburg, Night Sorties, Russian Front, V1 Doodlebug, Blitz S&S I voted for the Doodlebug version....the Condorlegion 2008 release is an absolute must have model for me

Got confirmation today that AA33702 He-111 H-6 Gefechtsverband Kuhlmey is on its way

that's a nice one Nimrod, enough to make any banana start dancing!

My desert version (AA33704) arrived yesterday thanks to OMI's Corgi sale, to join the Doodlebug, & white (Russia) versions. Night sorties is en route from a US dealer to complete the stable.

I voted for the Doodlebug version, nice sheme and the flying bomb looks great tucked underneath.

My Blitz He-111 only has one waist gun. On the other side is a black stump.

Should there be two?
