Re: 1/72 Corgi PBY Catalina 'Black Cat'

The Flying Mule has the Black Cat on sale for $79.99 as part of its Memorial Day sale. If interested, You should probably act quickly.

Thanks for the info KG_Jag, I've been looking for a the PBY Black Cat for some time now (even though it's 1/72 ) but have always resisted because of cost - at this price though it's positively rude not to buy what is most likely the best of all Corgi Catalinas to date (even if the postage is $50) .

(I suspect the Mule's inventory of this item will be almost gone within the next day or so.)

Re: 1/72 Corgi PBY Catalina 'Black Cat'

Ouch! The FlyingMule sale broke my will, too. I already have the Snafu Snatchers Catalina - and beleive me, I had one heckuva time choosing between Snafu and the Black Cat. I went with Snafu because of lower price and that it was probably more representative of the Catalinas in general. But I couldn't pass up the Black Cat for 1/3 off. Where am i gonna put it now? At least I got $0.00 for shipping for ordering a couple more items with the Black Cat that I've been waiting on, to put my total over $100. I guess I'll call it a Memorial Day present to myself. Will that justify it? Anyone have the number for CA (Collecters Anonymous)?

Re: 1/72 Corgi PBY Catalina 'Black Cat'

I received my 'Black Cat' Catalina today and am speechless . From the excellent photos posted by Mark earlier in the thread I knew that this was a good looking model but even they don't do it sufficient justice!

This is an absolutely superb/exquisite/brilliant/magnificent piece of diecast

I have these both and love them! The Snafu Snatchers came from the Flying Mule on a pre-order and the Black Cat version, I snagged off eBay for $55.00 + $12.00 postage. Sounded like a deal for sure since the Mule's is for sale for over $100.00!
