Re: Favorite online stores

Wow! Did I write all of that?????

Yes you did, and it is appreciated!

A couple of questions, the members skysurfer808, Louie, do they have on-line sales, ebay, how do you shop with them? Are they open to anyone, or are these friends of yours.

Skysurfer808 is selling lots of nice items right here on this forum and is open to everyone! Got 4 goodies in the mail from him today. In the past Louie sold them on eBay like I did when I had some extras. So I dont know if he has anything for sale or not right now.

Thanks ZS-VAN. I always see post on various on-line dealers/sellers on the items they have for sale or whatever but actually never seen a detailed description of how a dealer handles a transaction. So I thought I would write one on my recent purchases. Would love to hear some feedback from others as well on their orders. Thanks!

Re: Favorite online stores

I don't really remember who all I've ordered from, and I've never had a bad experience, but I do know I have gotten good service, and well packaged diecast from The Flying Mule and Pete's Collectibles.

Re: Favorite online stores

I've ordered stuff from the 'usual suspects' already mentioned above, but I also ordered from least bit known on-line vendors with excellent results so far. I'm a bargain
hunter and when I see a deal and the price is right, you can bet I'll be all over that like a bogey at your six! I've deciplined myself enough to wait until the current items
have been discounted, and then just go for the kill! Hehe...

Re: Favorite online stores

I've ordered from most of those already mentioned in this thread, and must admit that I've generally received top-notch service. One quick variation on the lead question, though, as I'm feeling lazy today:

Which retailer is currently offering the best deals on Corgi pre-orders?

As near I can tell, those I've checked are all within 5 cents of each other.

Re: Favorite online stores

Sites I regularly use are

Flying Mule
Pete's Collectibles
Aitkins Airplanes
Perry Collectibles

FM has to be #1 due to speed and service. I generally get orders the next day. Not the cheapest anymore (esp after dropping there pre-order discount), but service is 1st rate, and they have also paid for the shipping on the few damaged product returns I have had to make.

Pete's and Aitkins both have had good specials on some harder to find items, and service is great.

Perry's is a last resort, not because of service - this is 1st rate, but price. They are expensive, but have a lot a rare models. The also often put a lot of these on special, which can be quite good. I've picked up Corgi's CC B17, the Black Cat and the snake stuka from there in the last 6 months at good prices when they run these offers.

Ooops!
