Corgi "Freebie" token models revealed..

As posted on the DAF
AVIATION ARCHIVE INCENTIVE MODELS

We would just like to confirm to all that the Incentive models for the Aviation Archive 2007 range are in progress and that we should have them finalized over the coming weeks. Delays have been inevitable as we have strived to achieve a fantastic finish to these pieces in a brushed aluminium effect. They are true show stoppers!

We’ll give you further updates over the coming weeks and we thank all consumers, who have sent in tokens, for their continued patience.

I have already sent off my tokens and I will have to see better pics before I pass final judgement, but if it is "brushed" aluminum rather than "polished" it might not be that bad...

Re: Corgi "Freebie" token models revealed..

no room in my hangar for something like that, so I think I'll be okay with not doing the token race -- though watch, these things will go for zillions on ebay........ not that I like to make money on a model of course

Anybody need tokens? I fold.

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

Re: Corgi "Freebie" token models revealed..

I've sent my tokens in and still waiting for a reply. Have to wait and see some better pics before I get worried now if I'm getting one or not.
Does anyone know if all the token models (green tokens, red etc.) going to be this finish? Have a few green ones that I was going to trade/sell not sure irf there will be anyone interested now.

My understanding, from the quote, is that ALL "freebie" models will be this way..

Free diecast is never a waste of space, most of the time.....

I'd rather it be flat black looking like a recognition model than that garbage.

Re: Corgi "Freebie" token models revealed..

If it truly is "brushed" aluminum, then it would be a good candidate for a custom paint scheme..

And on a side note, promotional items such as this, often commands top dollar if there are few around..

Re: Corgi "Freebie" token models revealed..

Oh I can hear the conversation now!

"What in the world is that?"

"It's a free Corgi Halifax!"

"But it's silver!"

"But it's a Corgi."

"But it's silver."

"But it was free!"

"But it's silver."

It's a Halifax."

"BUUUTTT IT's SILVER!"

Enjoy! It will go with that gold plated Mustang they put out earlier.
