Legends Swordfish shipped!

Just received confirmation Oh happy day!! This ought to be a real humdinger. Happy to pay $10 fewer bucks for it too.

Little apprehensive about removing it from the packaging as, according to the Tricatus site, one does so at great risk.

What the heck anyway?!?! Does the pooch really save that much coin not using an AA box? Hope it turns out better than the 1/32 Stinger I screwed up on removal.

Re: Legends Swordfish shipped!

I got my swordfish over the weekend. Very happy. I removed it very carefully indeed. I'm just disappointed that the wings are in the folded position in the box as I tend to display my Legends in the box.

Re: Legends Swordfish shipped!

I had to move the little plastic stand to the side to take the presure off the second screw so I could remove it. It wouldn't budge up 'til then.
Did they really save money packaging it like this? I'd much rather have had it in an AA box...something quality like the Gold Mustang came in.

Cool Re: Legends Swordfish shipped!

Hello All;

Got mine from a good old CANADIAN retailer ( Maitland Toy Soldier Shop in Ontario ) . They seem to have a great selection of all the major diecast lines /brands.

Just take your time and you will have no trouble removing it from the packageing.Had mine removed and in the displaycase within 15 minutes.It's just a beautiful model and goes well with the other 4 other Fairey Swordfish's I already have.

There are two on the shelf at biggunscollectibles. PM Phantomphan. I am going bi-plane crazy and having seen it in person it is MUCH better than all photos.

Have to agree but I only have the black RAF Coastal Command to display it with.

Did you get yours yet, Harry? If not, JoePilot may still have it in stock (or they can fill your order if it's out) and it's a steal for $28 bucks! Received mine last night it put it beside my
pillow staring at it till my eyes lids shut tight and slept like a baby...SnoooooooooZzzzzzzzzzzzzzze!!!!

I ordered one from Joepilot since the total cost (including shipping) is what I would've paid anywhere else for just the plane itself.. This is my 1st order from them, so I guess I'll see how it goes..
