Re: AA36902 Corgi JU-52 Pictures

True.. the pre pros pictures always show things that when the real plane comes out most of the time it will look a little different..
This plane only has the ring and no wires on them.
JP

Which is bad

Any of you modelling types know a realist looking way to add the wires?
Please make it simple for us not so co ordinated guys can do it.
Could you make it look nice with some White glue and thread?

Re: AA36902 Corgi JU-52 Pictures

I do think its unreasonable to expect Corgi to put the wires on this one, and to compare it to a swordfish is unfair for the reasons that all Swordfishes had wires.. That is something that can be integrated into the tooling, the JU-52 Mine ring is a "one-off" not likely to be used again, so any additional tooling is a waste..

For those of you that want the wires and can add them yourself, I would suggest using nylon "micro" thread that can be found in most needlework stores. I use it on aerial antenna wire and is excellent for small projects..

Re: AA36902 Corgi JU-52 Pictures

My 'Tante JU' arrived today and I'm thrilled with it. The detail is superb with the perfect corrugated effect, internal crew members manning MGs, and a satisfying weight showing very little plastic on this model. I've always loved this 'ugly' jack of all trades and am looking forward to the white 'Eagles Dare' and floatplane versions. Ok the MGs seem a bit oversized but what the hell; it looks like a damn good JU 52!!

I'm trying to upskill my photography not outdo your original snaps Starman!

Are you talking about wires for aircraft antenna?

Well said, H.

Another (more tricky) option - is to use .008 Guitar strings (the thin 'E' strings - thinnest) that you'd buy from a music-shop, or E-bay.

Can't beat real wire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question is, who's got the patience ???????!!!!!!!!

I've used super thin brass rods to simulate wiring on several occasions. Their primary advantage is their stiffness. Just mark your connection points, add super glue dabs at both ends and put them in place.

Does anyone have a photo(s) of where to place the wiring for the loop? I have no clue.
