Re: Legends limited after all?

AA36608 Lockheed P-38J Lightning - 'Haleakala', s/n 42- 67291,459th FS, Chittagong, India, 1944 1700 600

This is amazing. I figure this to be a big hit with buyers?? Only 600?

Why?? This will be lightning #8. How many units of the other models will they have made before that?

I think they would have a real problem shifting 1700 units. Personally speaking, I already have 2 and the only other I plan to get would be PRU version. After that I'll be lighning-ed out. I wonder how many other people will be in the same position?

Ooops!

Huh, I don't see it on their website. Was is something they emailed to you? I'd be interested in getting my hands on the numbers for older releases.

Re: Legends limited after all?

There was a link in their newsletter and on the dutch part of their website (I couldn't find it on the english section).
http://www.modelplaza.nl/nieuwsbrief/Corgi_Cancel.htm
http://www.modelplaza.nl/nieuwsbrief..._Nw_Oplage.htm

The lists contain only info about the 2007 releases....so unfortunately they won't be much help to you.

Cool Re: Legends limited after all?

I will say this reviewing that list again, there's going to be one or two really sought after items! With the larger runs it probably won't matter that much but the very limited runs are very exciting indeed. Brings some of the fun back if you're after the rare ones. I wonder whether the certificates will reflect the reduced run numbers, silly if it didn't.

Re: Legends limited after all?

Got to wonder if some of those numbers are "typos" -- 2000+ trimmed down to 300? seems like 1,300 would be more likely... will be interesting if this list is accurate!

True enough PappyB, does look too good to be true. Interesting thought though, the very limited runs would have big appeal and stimulate lots more interest in those particular molds.
