Not sure which one to get next!

Hi,
I've just recently started collecting die-cast WW2 planes. I started out with the Warbirds collection, and I have looking into adding some "heavies".

Anyways, I've come across some "bargains". My choice is between one of these:
AA36102 PBY-5A (01-10A) Catalina "Snafu Snatchers" WWII - War in the Pacific
AA36103 PBY Catalina Mk.IVa RAF Sullom Voe RAF Coastal Command
AA34004 B-24D 'Sky Witch'
US34013 B-24D "Jerk's Natural" Raid on Ploesti

What's a good choice?

I've already got the blue US Navy B-25 Mitchell. Unfortunately the Lancasters and B-17's having been a bit too pricy so far .

Re: Not sure which one to get next!

Hello Omnius and welcome to the asylum !
Also have the PBJ-1myself, excellent choice...

IMHO, you should now choose the Catalina. Whatever the version, you won't be disappointed !

Your avatar makes me think to the Dutch Spitfire MK XVI from Witty...

I collect Dutch military aircraft (Witty, HM, even Corgi make some). Do you have any ?

Re: Not sure which one to get next!

I got the Witty Wings Dutch Spitfire. I promised myself to stick to WW2 aircraft (for now) though.
I think I'll go for the USN Catalina.

What other dutch militairy aircraft are there?
I've seen the F104 Starfighter of 312 squadron, and the Diamond Four Gloster Meteor.
Might get the F104 too, its only 32 euros. (there goes my promise )

I must say btw that I love Tricatus' website.

Re: Not sure which one to get next!

But does the Witty Wings spit have a WWII livery? It seems to be post-war...

Re: Not sure which one to get next!

You have listed them all :

Like yourself, I own the Spit MKXVI and Sea Fury FB11... Plus the F104 and Meteor.

Eagerly waiting for the 1/48 Netherlands East Indies AF's Buffalo...

Tricatus site is great, and most useful.

Woh, I have all these and am also waiting on the Buffalo. Your not another "Ducken Futchman" are you? I also have a couple KLM aircraft in 1/144 from Corgi. I collect Dutch aircraft because the Netherlands is were my Parents immigrated from just after the war.

Cool Re: Not sure which one to get next!

Well Omnius, I think it's because there are so few diecast models that don't wear US, British, German or Japanese roudels, and I find Dutch military paint schemes attractive.

Btw, I also collect Swiss, Canadian (postwar), and of course French military aircrafts..
