I agree SKUNKY, what's up with that green? If I remember correctly, the only time Corgi got this color right on their B-17s was on their Memphis Belle. It should be olive drab - not crab apple!

Even Memphis Belle is OD with dark green splotches...This one looks more like Miss Minookie...

Nice weathering, but the paint color is pretty ugly in my opinion.

Color doesn't look so bright on the Mules pictures, and I do like the weathering.

I see though they still have used the late "G" tail turret, offset waist gunner positions and the nose has the "G" side gun mounts.

Ooops!

Unhappy Re: AA33312 Corgi B-17E Flying Fortress is now in stock

Aw Geez . . . what a lunchbag let-down . . . and this was going to be my foray in American aircraft. I have a real nice P-40 in similar markings on the way. Boy did they get the nose wrong with this. That certainly isn't the bomb aimers persplex of an 'E' but more of a 'F' or 'G'. The 'G' mounts that Timbo points out is also disappointing. The shots on the Mule site certainly make the colour more believable, but the gaps around the cockpit sure don't inspire confidence. I want to think this is a pre-production proto, but I suspect this is the real-deal? I guess I had better wait to see this one in the 'flesh'.

C'mon, Corgi -- make me a believer!

This is Corgi's model of Boeing's little known one-off B-17E/F/G, also known as the B-17 Effin'-Gee Candy Apple Fortress....

I like the markings but, piss on the chipped paint. Oh well, outside of MNR, I'm good on B-17s. Still hoping for a late war bare metal B-24 from the ETO.
