I was just looking at Tricatus' site, and noticed that the P-51B "SHangri-La" is listed as being canceled?!?! Does this mean that perhaps TFM is gonna pick it up as the 3rd in the Gentile FM Exclusive series? Darn it, I was really counting on that plane to round out my Gentile collection . . .

I don't think Tri has updated his "cancelled" language since Corgi made its official response to the "cancelled" thread. As far as I know, Shangri-La is still on. The early reports from some UK dealers indicated that it was pulled from the line-up. But Corgi's followup disabused us of that notion quick. For the full story, see THIS thread, and mind the link to Corgi's official response (as part of the same thread) HERE. The gist: Shangri-La will be released, but in smaller numbers than originally projected by Corgi.

I think Tricatus revised his site to reflect the memo announced by Corgi that certain models would be cancelled this year.. The memo is still questionable since Corgi has already issued some of the "cancelled" items..

..sorry , I'd thought I'd caught all those, I'll correct it, and any others, in the next few days - I'd based this on info I was assured was reliable - turns out it was it was an unauthorised 'leak' - I won't be using them again !

think i'll get a spare ding hao and use some shangri la decals on it
has anyone got info on shangri la as the decals i have show more kill markings and the eagle on a blue background not the usually seen yellow background with only half gentile's kill markings!

You fellas are being silly now. The P-51 Shangri-La will eventually show up. If not from Corgi, then Gemini or Dragon will do it for sure. It's the same with "Old Crow" or "Glamourous Glennis". These liveries are "no brainers", and the three companies making P-51B/Cs have to have at least one brain between 'em, so we should be in good shape!

The boxing eagle is one of my favorite emblems. I have a rock in the front of my home with that emblem carved into it, with tthe words "Freedom isn't Free" under it.
