P-40 suggestion

Why the powers that be at Corgi elected to issue that ugly black and red thing instead of this one, I'll never, ever understand. Heck, they didn't even see fit to use the Merlin-engined mold they had earlier.

Found this at the link below. What a model!

GMP, are you listening?

Re: P-40 suggestion

That P-40 livery would look cool too, buckiav8r.

Also thanks for the link you posted. There lots of great warbirds posted in there as well. Great site!

If you haven't already, Jim, go here: www.airliners.net and do a search on the P-40 tomahawk -- that will keep you bz for days!

(that is a cool scheme!)

One to drool over. BTW I have just got hold of a book called Desert Eagles. Its mainly about two pilots, Hal Marting and Ed Miluck.
There are some good black and white photos of P40s in there but for me the main part is that it gives an insight into flying and fighting in P40 Kittyhawks with the no239 Wing in the dessert.

Most of the book is taken from their personal diaries.

Pappy I have put the kettle on and when I have made tea I shall sit and investigate the site. Many thanks for the tip.

Re: P-40 suggestion

I guess each to his own re the "ugly black and red thing"! But I would certainly love to see your suggestion made in 1:72. It would look awesome amongst the rest of my Desert Airforce planes.
