Re: P-40 suggestion

buckiav8r, your suggestion is wonderful; I already have a checker tail P-51D & P-47 so this would complete the set.

Re: P-40 suggestion

Howzabout something like this feller? Sr. Lt. N.F. Kuznetsov's P-40K. (Image taken from http://lend-lease.airforce.ru/englis...p-40/index.htm.)

I have to say I've never been a big fan of the P-40, but it just looks right to me in Soviet colors.

Re: P-40 suggestion

I would really like a "Skull" in 1:72. But The Soviet in Easy Model is good.

And The Stud? Too garish?

Re: P-40 suggestion

Stud is definitely garish, but to me, charming because of rather than in spite of the garishness.

I agree Lighthouse louie would be a great subject.
So would the Russian P-40.

Re: P-40 suggestion

I am enjoying this thread , keep em coming. Just to get things going how about the P40Q? A nice bubble canopy version.
Or how about a Tomahawk 11B of the Turkish airforce? Or an XP40 ,you just have to get them all . Well there was nearly 14000 of the real ones made, not bad going for a eh?

God Bless America.

Re: P-40 suggestion

I have to agree that a Check tail would round out the set nicely. And we've see the captured Fw190 and Me109 ,how about captured P-40

And Jim here is a site for you, though you probably seen it..

Re: P-40 suggestion

What was the deal with the all black paint schemes with red trim and checker tail? That seems like a wild paint scheme for a fighter group.
