A 1/72nd limited edition scale model from the World War II in Winter series by Corgi Classics

Modified by the replacement of the conventional undercarriage by skis, this Gloster Gladiator took part in the first air combat success against the Soviets on the 12th January 1940. The squadron of the Royal Swedish Air Force had been deployed as a volunteer unit in support of the Finns against the Soviet offensive. The silver paint overspray served as disruptive camouflage, and the aircraft was badged with Finnish markings.

Wow, that is really, really nice, I already have one Corgi Gladiator, but this is soooo tempting.

Great pics as usual and thank you! I recieved this in the mail a few weeks ago and simply love the plane. Not real crazy about the "snow diorama" but there is no other way to get it. This is the only WWII plane in Finnish markings too by Corgi. The snow skis are really neat. Very happy overall with the plane. The 'snow diorma' actually looks more like a scene from "The Day after Tomorrow" more than a winter scene. Even inside the door of the small building is full of snow. Guess someone didn't close the door after them when they came inside...

I've got the diorama, too, and it's great. Really a unique subject and a nice model. It's crying out for a pilot and/or ground crew figures to place in the snowy landscape, though.
My wife pointed out that there's a grammatical error in the text on the box and documentation: "...with Ski's..." no apostrophe needed there, obviously. Then again, we're rivet-counters, not proofreaders!

I held off getting this aircraft for a while as my collection already had two Gladiators but I'm glad I caved in and got it. The model is up to the high standard of the other Gladiators in all areas. The silver finish is very attractive with the over painting. The skis are moveable and the two blade propeller looks great. Pick one up while you can because I doubt if something similar will done again considering the financial climate out there. A pre-war silver RAF Gladiator would be nice. The photographs as usual, Mark are excellent.

I ordered mine this morning (it's the best way to start your day) so I know that I'm getting one, but I was hoping that it was as exclusive as originally claimed.
