Okay, here it is. I was wrong about the 150, but the claim was 172.
I knew I wasn't imagining things.

Gloster Gladiator J-8A "Royal Swedish A.F." w/Skis Diorama in 1:72 Scale. This diorama will be limited to only 172 in the United States.
This model should arrive on or around the first of the year.

This is one I'm planning to get. It really looks very good. I like the skis. What's nice about the Gladiators is the very different schemes.

Well, I do have to say that I'm very glad that Corgi is starting to do more dioramas. I would encourage them to keep it up. I'll buy them all, just like the flightline series. That little extra something really gets me excited about collecting.

Re: AA36204 J-8A Gladiator with Skis & Diorama

Admin,
Hey there.

I've heard 172 and 372 coming to the U.S. Either way, not a lot. However, I doubt this will be a really fast mover. Despite the attractiveness of the livery, the going prices on this are pretty high. And almost no one seems to want the base. I'm hoping against hope that we might see a similiar scheme in the future as I want the plane, but don't really want to drop the asking price for it.

Anything for a weird life.

I thought the rumor was that there were only going to be 150 of these brought into the US. Is this true?

I picked up mine off ebay a few weeks back for $60.00...postpaid.

I'm not sure about that. There is no stand, and even though the Gladiator is fantastic( the best one out yet IMHO), it is so much better with the diorama, just need some ground personel or an officer sticking his head out of the shack to really set it off.
