Looks like the PRU mossie's been released in the UK

There's a thread on the UK forum with photo's of the PRU mossie. I have to say I think it looks very nice.

http://forums.diecast-aviation.eu/showthread.php?t=5433

I thought this one was not due out for another 2-3 months? Any news of it arriving here?

Ooops!

I was very surprised to see them talking about this one in the UK because I thought it was due later this year. It is according to the catalogue. Maybe this bodes well for the new releases unlike last yeay.

Usually it will take about a month to get here once they arrive in the UK..

Is it just me or does that take forever to load?

I saw the new PR mossie the other day, it looked very nice at first until I checked out the thing in a couple of books and it seems that the squadron lettering on the port side is reversed, i.e. applied as LY o U and should be U o LY. cant find any photos of the port side to confirm, but diagrams of the same aircraft in Osprey 13 and warpaint special of the same subject seem to indicate the lettering is wrong. The camo is an interesting shade, described in reference books as middle sea grey and olive grey for upper surfaces and PR blue underside.

The engine nacelles are too long on this model, the real one was basically a prototype and it had shorter nacelles, a QC foul up IMHO.

Maybe so, but you honestly can't expect Corgi to retool its engine nacelles just for one plane do you??
I would think it is a little unreasonable to expect this..

Agree 100% Harry. It does seem a little unreasonable to ding Corgi on this.
