issue with Galland 109, return or try for a part...

Hey all -- got the new Galland 109 for $28 a few weeks ago and never really inpected it closely until now. I was looking at for a while and I knew something was off but couldn't place it -- then "WHAM" I realized it was missing the aerial mast!!!

(Must be all these jets I've unpacked recently that made me miss this... )

Not 100% sure it arrived this way or happened taking it out of the box... if its the later the part is probably gone for good in the plush dark green carpet of my office.

The vendor has offered to replace it, I just have to pick up the return shipping...

I am thinking I am going to do this unless y'all think I could get a replacement mast from corgi in a timely fashion

Or for potential future resale value's sake, should I just return it for a replacement... I'm thinking this is the way to go.

Be careful with those masts! (First time this has happened to me with a Corgi.)

The aerial fell off my first Gemini Spitfire and after a lot of searching it was found in the kitchen of all places .

Luckily it didn't impale my foot (very, very sharp) as we tend to walk barefoot indoors over here - no we're not Hobbits .

If it was up to me PappyB I'd return it even if it cost a little. The 109 aerial is a very fragile part. I've put one or two back myself but new is always nicer.

Have a look around the kitchen Pappy. You might find it there.

If the rest of the model was mint I would keep it and get a replacement aerial. Odds are if you returned the whole model you'll get one with an aerial but a big blob of errant paint on the wing.

I'm gonna roll the dice in terms of getting one that's not as nice -- I'm getting a full replacement. Hopefully, it won't be one of those "quiting time" rush jobbies.
