Stand problem with K5054 Spitfire

Anyone else discovered their 1/32 Spitfire stand cradle was assembled the wrong way?
Finally found some display room for this model only to find it wanting to nose dive faster than Corgi's stock.

Managed to encourage the fine thread screw out to reverse the cradle. Im just glad it was'nt a roll pin, I didn't fancy putting the nice chrome in a vice to punch a pin out .

I have a model with the same problem. I've never bothered to fix it.

Kaptin Kirk, is that a 1:32 "babe" I see sitting on the wing of your GMP P40? I may be in my 50's, but if THAT is how they treat you in the Air Force, sign me up!

Re: Stand problem with K5054 Spitfire

That's a first i have seen that on a Spitfire stand.
All you have to do is take out the little screw that holds that part in and take it off and turn it around and you should be fine.
I had this happen on my 1:32 Mustang once.

Re: Stand problem with K5054 Spitfire

The K5054 does look a lot happier heading skyward, time to break out the others & correct where necessary, they've languished in their boxes too long already

Red face Re: Stand problem with K5054 Spitfire

since my big models also languish in their boxes I'd better fish them out and check the stands. Thanks.
