Corgi BAE Hawk

I was going to buy this one until I saw it...sooo small....its a chicken hawk.

Maybe should have been done in 1:32 scale.

Also thought the Gladiators would have been better at 1:32.

Re: Corgi BAE Hawk

It's about the same size as the Harrier, and Sabre for that matter. Personally, I think it looks good among the other 1:72 RAF jets .

Maybe so, but it is hard to get better than excellent...

Re: Corgi BAE Hawk

I have all three and they look great sitting in echelon behind a similar row of Harriers. Their colors contrast nicely with the camouflaged aircraft. Hopefully, they will do the camouflaged version in 79 Sqdn markings at some time.

Re: Corgi BAE Hawk

The Hawk is a neat plane, I am glad they did it in 1/72, the idea for most is to have these in the same scale and 1/72 is the best size in my opinion. Big enough to show detail and handle and all, yet small enough that you can do a reasonable diorama and fit more in a display.

I have the Red and The Red and Blue one so far and have the Black on Order.

Re: Corgi BAE Hawk

Yeah, I picked up the black one and it's very nice! Also that one is a fairly limited run, love that!
Also: Harriers... Do you think Corgi will do the later version Harriers???

Re: Corgi BAE Hawk

I'd certainly like to see the later Harriers in all forms. However, they would all need to be fresh tooling. Someone in the UK did produce a very limited edition of the later versions of the Sea Harrier by extensively modifying the original. I'm surprised they haven't done the AV -8B since it has seen so much action.
