Flying Lemons

Hello all

I have a sizeable collection of Corgi aircraft, have moved into a new home, and have secured an entire room (Thanks to management) to establish a war office from where all aviation activities will be contained. I'm so excited....It has a loft and everything. She's already saying I have an annual salary in my collection, but then she has that in shoes. I will be looking to get suitable display cases designed etc in the coming weeks, but I will keep you posted. It will be Uber unreal! (pics to come)

Aside from this I have been a member of this forum for some time, and whilst I have not always posted on the site, I take great interest in the communications of diecast colleagues, and their opinions, collections, thoughts etc.

To the point

I love collecting this stuff, and I'm sure like you have a massive passion for aircraft in general. I am curious to know, and value your opinion, what you think Corgi's best all time lemons are. Max of 3 please....

I have some thoughts

Guadalcanal set
Heinz Bar me262
1/32 Mustang Stinger 7

Discuss......

PS
I have the "POO" B25 bomber. Honestly guys. It's not a bad kit, and I would recommend it. I know some of you love to say POO on the forum so this is your chance. Personally, I would not knock it until you've got it in the collection. Then if you wish, you can have buyers remorse. I have'nt yet.

I gotta agree with Lanceforthright. I've got the "poo" B-25 as well and really like it.

Re: Flying Lemons

What is this "Poo Mitchell" you guys are talking about? Is it just a really bad paint job or does "Poo" stand for something that I am not aware of?

The OH-7 B-25. The weathering attempt looks like poo smeared all over it.

Re: Flying Lemons

Well, I thought we'd done something like this before so I typed "worst" in the search window to see what came up. I got 6 pages of results.

Does seem familiar though...

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

Re: Flying Lemons

I think it's meant to be weathering Lanslide. It appears to have belly landed in a sewage farm! Aside from the bad paint job it seems like a fine model complete with ventral turret and the usual fine B-25 qualities.

My lemon vote would be for the three F- 4 Phantoms:

Black Bunny AA33205
Centennial AA33206
Drone AA33208

I had Black Bunny & Centennial for short period before getting rid of them. Aircraft like this have a very limited commercial collection base IMHO. Corgi had a huge number of potentially collectable and interesting schemes before resorting to these.

Re: Flying Lemons

I think "Black Bunny" is a cool paint scheme but I agree about the others.
